Seamless Sound at Arapahoe Library System
The Arapahoe Library System (ALS) spans eight libraries across the Denver metro area and the surrounding regions of Byers and Deer Trail. Each library features one or more meeting spaces equipped with hearing loop technology. Patrons with hearing loss can easily participate in community meetings and events by switching their hearing devices to the “telecoil” setting. For those without a telecoil-equipped hearing device, libraries offer several hearing loop receivers for checkout.
Assist2Hear efficiently retrofitted each library, installing hearing loop wires under the existing carpet tiles. These systems integrate with the library’s audio-visual equipment.
Reserve a hearing-accessible space in the Arapahoe Library System. Spaces equipped with hearing loops are typically labeled as Meeting Room A or B in the reservation system. Note that at the Koelbel Library, the hearing loop is installed in the Forum Theater meeting space.
