One of Texas’ Largest Church Hearing Loop Installations
St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands, Texas completed a major accessibility upgrade with the installation of one of the largest induction hearing loops in the state. The system was designed and installed by Assist2Hear to improve speech clarity for parishioners with hearing loss during worship services and events.
The hearing loop installation was efficiently coordinated alongside the church’s carpet replacement project, allowing the loop to be installed beneath the new flooring while maintaining the integrity of the sanctuary environment. The finished system provided clear, amplified audio coverage throughout the entire sanctuary, the overflow area, and the attached chapel.
The loop system transmitted audio wirelessly via magnetic induction, enabling telecoil-enabled hearing aids and cochlear implants to receive sound directly when users switched to the “T” setting. For those without telecoil-enabled personal devices, the church also made loop receivers available so everyone could benefit from improved clarity.
As part of the project, amplification equipment was integrated into the church’s existing A/V infrastructure, connecting directly to the sound system via the audio-visual rack—ensuring a streamlined, user-friendly solution for both staff and parishioners.
